Bank of Georgetown Opens Two New Branches in the District

WASHINGTON, Nov. 10, 2008 — Bank of Georgetown, a community bank chartered in Washington, D.C., has announced the opening of two new branches in the District, one in the Penn Quarter area and the other at Franklin Square.

These recent branch openings, which bring the bank’s branch count to six, illustrate the strength, resilience and steady growth of the institution.

“We are thrilled to be bringing Bank of Georgetown to new business communities in the downtown area,” said Curtin Winsor, Bank of Georgetown founder and chairman. “The continued success of our business banking client portfolio has allowed us to invest back into strategic growth in new locations, which helps us to bring our personalized, hands-on approach to smart banking solutions to even more business owners in the D.C. area.”

The bank’s new Penn Quarter branch is located at the corner of 8th and E streets and is managed by Bank of Georgetown vice president and branch manager Sydnee Reghioui. The new Franklin Square branch, located at the corner of 14th and Eye streets, is managed by Bank of Georgetown vice president and branch manager Mirline Boutin. Both women are new additions to Bank of Georgetown’s branch management team.

    Both branches are open Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
