Mission Statement
Bank of Georgetown is committed to being the best community bank in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Our goal is to develop, expand, and retain profitable and sound customer relationships.
The Bank will deliver attractive and competitive financial products and services, with an exceptional level of quality service to meet the needs of local businesses, professional firms, their employees, and residents of the communities we serve.
Bank of Georgetown is not seeking to be the largest banking institution; rather, it is seeking to be the most preferred bank in Washington, DC and nearby Montgomery and Arlington Counties.
Bank of Georgetown will operate as a community bank, emphasizing personal service and flexibility in the face of increasing standardization by the large national and super-regional banks who maintain local branch networks. Increased consolidation of regionally based banks has heightened the local market’s need for a community-based bank such as Bank of Georgetown.
Initially operating in Washington, DC, and subsequently expanding to nearby Montgomery and Arlington Counties, the Bank will serve three types of customers:
Commercial Customers
Including real estate professionals, government contractors, not-for-profit organizations, trade associations, service providers, as well as self-employed professionals such as doctors, lawyers, architects and accountants
Retail Customers
Including the variety of retail customers in the Bank’s defined market area
Consumers
Including those who reside in the communities served by the Bank’s branches, those who are employed by the Bank’s commercial or retail customers, and those who choose to do business with Bank of Georgetown
