Welcome from the Chairman, President & CEO

When Curt Winsor and I conceived of Bank of Georgetown, we envisioned it as an integral part of the Washington metropolitan area. Our mission was, and is, for our customers to experience the true meaning of a community bank. Locally owned. Locally run. Locally involved.

The Bank has deep roots in this community. Our employees and families live here and many are native Washingtonians. Our Board of Directors is drawn from this area. Our shareholders are your friends and neighbors. This means that our decisions reflect our extensive knowledge and understanding of the unique challenges faced by businesses and individuals in D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. 

In December 2012, Curt passed away suddenly. He was passionate about the Bank and driven to see it succeed, and we miss him greatly. We know he would be pleased that the vision he helped create continues with an unwavering commitment.  We have grown in size since 2005, but our customer focus has not changed. I feel so fortunate to work with a wonderful group of employees who are dedicated to delivering competitive products, great rates, and outstanding service.

Washington is a great place to live and work. We are proud of our connections here and our role in the community.
